Dr. Richard Dumois is board certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and has been awarded the prestigious distinction of “Fellow.” He is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Medical Association. Dr. Dumois is highly respected by his peers and was featured in Orlando Magazine as one of the “City’s Best Doctors” in 2011. Dr. Dumois has been awarded the “Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award” for 2013, and he was selected through a highly respected peer review as one of Orlando's Top Doctors for the Dec. 2015 and Dec. 2016 Annual Doctor's Issue of Orlando Magazine.

Dr. Dumois earned his medical degree in Seville, Spain, at the University of Seville in 1992 and also studied at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Munice, Indiana, in 1998. His fellowship in gastroenterology was completed at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2001.

Dr. Dumois joined Central Florida Gastroenterology in 2001. He has privileges at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Dr. P. Phillips’ Hospital. He currently serves as PI Chairman and is a credentialed staff member of the Central Florida Surgical Center in Ocoee.

Dr. Dumois was born in Lakeland, Florida. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
